We're a group of professional Central Coast artists who by sheer luck just happened  to come together at the right time.

Our sincerest thanks to Deepwater Plaza management for having the vision, the generosity (and the bravery!) to take a risk and do something a little unusual. Instead of letting a vacant store sit empty, they decided to make a creative space to enrich the community. We hope this will be a success, and perhaps pave the way for more businesses and local governments to follow their example.

We were offered the opportunity to turn the old Millers store in Deepwater Plaza into something that’s part art space, part social experiment. Most of us had never actually met face to face, let alone worked together. Yet suddenly we were outfitting a gallery and wrestling with all logistical issues that accompany such a crazy undertaking.

So far, so good!  We're all still speaking to one another ...

When we started this project, we had no idea how much magic would happen along the way. Every day somebody new comes into the Deep Water Art Space with an amazing  story to share. It's astonishing how many Secret Artists are out there in the Central Coast community, quietly creating.
